At my firm, Betty Russo Law, P.C., you will find supportive guidance during this difficult time. You can expect to be treated with dignity and respect, without judgment.
As the attorney you will be working with one-on-one, I am committed to being there for you when you need me. I want you to feel comfortable opening up to me about anything and everything.
Start by learning more about me.
Why I Chose Family Law
My dedication to improving people’s lives has always been at the foundation of my career. Before becoming an attorney, I spent more than 15 years as a preschool teacher. I have an abiding concern for children’s emotional well-being during a divorce and a unique insight into the struggles they face with major family transactions.
I bring that dedication into my family law practice. I’m committed to helping children and their families build a bright future from the ashes of divorce.
How I Can Help
I provide honest guidance and legal counsel on how to navigate the many complex considerations you may be facing, including related concerns such as:
- Finding trustworthy counselors and therapists
- Pursuing rehabilitation programs for substance problems
- Preparing new or updated wills
When you work with me, you will benefit from my decade of experience handling a wide range of divorce cases and child custody issues. Having previously worked in the Virginia General Assembly as a committee clerk, I’m intimately familiar with our state’s family law statutes. I also regularly give back to the community through volunteer work.
Mediation provides a more peaceable path toward resolving family law conflicts. I’m a certified mediator through the Supreme Court of Virginia, and I provide mediation services to help people reach an out-of-court settlement that spares them the stress and expense of litigation.
Mediation isn’t right for every situation, but for many, it leads to win-win resolutions that promote healthy long-term outcomes.
